Karl Schneider opened a horticultural business on Grenzacherstrasse in Basel, which offerd a broad base of services for the time.

The construction of a railroad bridge takes up space on the company premises and the company moves to Allschwil.
1926
Joseph (Jos.) Schneider, Karl’s son, takes over the company and gradually expands the business over the years.
1957
Kurt Schneider, son of Joseph Schneider, joins the company. Until then, the gardening and landscaping company had focused on the creation of gardens and green spaces. In the early sixties, the sports field construction division was established and over 70 grass sports fields were built and maintained in the Basel region.
1960
Heinz Tillmann, brother-in-law of Kurt Schneider, joins the company.
1961
The company is converted into a stock corporation.
1998
In the absence of a successor within the family, Gerold Voggensperger takes over Jos. Schneider AG as a career changer from outside the industry.
2016
Dario Camenisch joins the company as construction foreman for new installations / alterations.
2020
Dario Camenisch joins the company management alongside Gerold Voggensperger after targeted preparation.
2022
Dario Camenisch takes over the majority of shares and the management of the company. Gerold Voggensperger remains Chairman of the Board of Directors and supports Dario Camenisch with a reduced workload.
